Using Vitamin E Oil to help with baby's dried eyelids and rubbing

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Thursday, April 24, 2014, In : Motherhood
My newborn is 2 months and 3 weeks old and he has been consistently rubbing his eyelids. He rubs his left one more than his right so his left one is really swollen and red. It doesn't look as bad if he doesn't rub it for awhile but then it gets swollen again once he rubs it. Here are the things I miss since giving birth to...

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, In : Motherhood
Happy April Fool's Day! A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog about mastitis and how I was admitted to ER for this painful infection in my right boob. Well, I thought about it some more today and wondered how many breast feeders get mastitis? Is it a high percentage? I tried to look for a study on that but couldn't locate it.

The hospital gave me antibiotics to treat it and it went away a few days after but how did people treat it pre-antibiotic days? Did a lot of mothers die from it?

I'm glad I'm p...
