When we went to the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, it became the highlight of my entire 4 day, 3 night stay! It felt like Disneyland. With the Coca Cola theme song playing in the background at all times, it really makes you realize what an amazing brand Coca Cola has been for over 100 years. There's so much nostalgia value. You learn the history and the invention of Cola Cola, how it turned into a big business and how it is now an international brand. You also get to try 65 flavors. ... Continue reading ...

Make sure you go to the Olympic Park Area in Atlanta, Georgia. It's a nice area with a water playing area for the kids, a lot of green grass and views of downtown's skyscrapers and ferris wheel. Here are my pictures below.

We went to the Yard House in Atlanta to get home appetizers and cool down from the hot weather in June. They had the spicy tuna roll as one of their appetizers on their menu. I just want to warn you guys that it's not the typical Japanese spicy tuna roll that you would expect. See my picture below. It is a rather large entree so you could really just eat this as your meal. It was good but I think they put too much avocado in it. If you like that sort of thing, you might want to order it.

We were really impressed with the Hong Kong Supermarket Mall in the Atlanta Area (5495 Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross, GA30093). It not only is a huge supermarket, it has small shops inside with bakeries and other restaurants too. I wanted to get some Roast Pork with the crunchy rind on the outside and went to Big Wong BBQ. It was probably the best I've ever had. This is how the front of their place looks like inside of Hong Kong Supermarket.

We wanted to find a Vietnamese restaurant that was closest to the hotel that we were staying at in downtown and our map linked us to Dua Vietnamese Noodle Soup (53 Broad St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303). It had good reviews and it was only within walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta. When we got there around 7pm, we've discovered that it had already closed. I guess a lot of the businesses on that street closes at 6pm or something for some reason?

We went to Lee's Bakery (4005 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30345) for the first time when we were visiting the town. It was so busy. It took us 15 minutes before we were able to put in our orders. A lot of people dined in as well. They serve soups and Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches with the special offer of "Buy 5 get 1 Free" for those taking banh mis to go.
We ordered 2 special banh mi, 3 grilled pork and 1 grilled chicken. I do not recommend getting the grilled chicken. I highly recommend the ... Continue reading ...

We needed to fulfill our dim sum craving so my husband looked on yelp for recommended dim sum in the Atlanta area. We headed to Canton House and we did not regret it. Their dim sum was delicious. Every thing was so fresh and service was attentive. The ladies here looked like they are always in a rush though. I recommend the shrimp rice rolls, pork siu mai, har cow for the novice but everything else tasted great too. Here are some pictures of the restaurant and our food below.

We went to Atlanta for the first time earlier this month on our first family mini-vacation. We have a 4 month old son. My husband booked at Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta (275 Baker St NW, Atlanta, GA 30313) for 2 nights and we had a very pleasant stay. They upgraded our room to the pent house level with a wonderful city view of downtown. Furthermore, they have a very delicious seafood restaurant that is attached to the property called Legal Sea Foods (now closed). See a collage of our ho... Continue reading ...

Motherhood
As a first time mother of a 4 month old baby, I've learned so many things about taking care of a baby. However, there are certain things I wish I knew so I could make a better decisions about some of these things early on.
1. Flat Heads Every reading source and and health professional would tell me to put my baby on his back to prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). What they didn't tell me is that this can cause flat heads. I noticed my baby started getting a flat side on the back of hi...

I like to keep boxes around the house because I always end up using them for storage or shipping something to a friend. I don't want to buy boxes when I can reuse the ones that I get from getting things shipped to me. My husband thinks that I'm weird that I hoard these boxes but they really come into great use!
I got creative one day and realized I needed an end table for our bedroom near my closet. I didn't want to go out and buy one and I recently got a sturdy cardboard boxed in the mail. I... Continue reading ...
