I made a diaper cake for the 2nd time and this time it is for a baby girl. I wanted to send a small congratulations gift to my friend in California after she just gave birth. Here is how it looks like.
Contents include: a pair of Espirit pink baby shoes (6-12 months), 3 bibs from Juicy Couture, 4 receiving blankets and 16 Size 1 Swaddler diapers.
Unfortunately, when my friend received this package, everything was unraveled so I suggest that you bind everything tightly and put a lot of bubble ... Continue reading ...

I've been craving a lot of ice cream lately. I have mint chocolate chip from Edy's and coffee flavor from Prestige in the freezer right now. Usually I don't eat much ice cream. Maybe only when I am out at the mall or at a restaurant on a rare occasion. However, lately I've been craving it and I wonder if it's my body telling me that I need more fat content to feed the baby?
My baby son is now 10 months old and I am still breastfeeding. He's been thinning out in the last couple of months becaus... Continue reading ...

It's been 13 days since I gave birth to my beautiful son and I'm dealing with postpartum. I've been crying a lot and we've had a lot of visitors and their dogs come stay at our house to meet the baby. We've also recently did a 2.5 hour road trip each way for 2 days so other family members can meet the baby as well. All of this on top of healing physically and emotionally has been hard. The baby is not even 2 weeks old yet.
Am I being too nice to let so many visitors come and see our baby, dis... Continue reading ...

The day finally came! I pooped! I gave birth 6 days ago and did not poop until today. The days up until this date has been brutal. I've been eating normally as well so I have no idea where all of that food is stored in my body. With the stitches down there and my nipples hurting from breastfeeding, this third problem made the last several days really uncomfortable.
So for those who has never given birth before, consider this a warning that you may not be able to poop for awhile! Fortunately, ... Continue reading ...

This morning I claimed to have suffered from Braxton Hicks for the first time in my blog this morning and now it's 3:57pm and it has come back. I wonder if this is all real labor and that I'm just at the very beginning stages? I am already 39 weeks today so it is possible right?
As I was walking around the house, I did feel like my right leg would get weak all of a sudden like a sudden shot through my leg went up my spine and I had to stop for a second a few times. Is this caused by my contrac... Continue reading ...

I am exactly 39 weeks today and I suffered from Braxton Hicks for the first time this morning at around 1am. I really thought I was going into early labor because I had a hard time getting up and my abdominal area was hurting so bad. I went to the bathroom and noticed some watery discharge so I thought that my amniotic fluid is slowly leaking out. I noticed some mucous plug yesterday and the day before as well so that is why I thought it was my amniotic fluid today.

I'm 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant today and my mucous plug started showing this morning when I went to the bathroom. At first, I was really excited and frantically went to find my baby book to see what this meant. It said that it's a sign that I am going into labor soon. That could be tomorrow or 2 weeks later. I texted my husband while he was at work right away just in case something happens sooner than later so he can be prepared to tell his work.

My husband and I decided to not take professional maternity photos for my pregnancy. It was due to a combination of forgetting, delaying and not wanting to spend money for pictures of my unattractive big belly. I figured I'd just wait for my child to be born to take family photos.
Anyway, since I am growing very massive today at 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant and there is a chance that the baby might arrive earlier than expected, I decided to take some selfies. People say that your nose grows w... Continue reading ...

My OB/GYN said that after 35 weeks, pregnant women have to get tested for Group B Strep so I had to get another vaginal exam where they stick a stick test in there. It was quick and painless. It's not like a cervical exam where they stick their fingers in there.
They said that about 20 - 30% of women have this and they want to find out ahead of time to ensure the baby doesn't get infected during delivery. It can cause stillbirth and serious infections for some babies.

I was prescribed prenatal vitamins after the doctor confirmed that I was pregnant in June. It has folic acid which is supposed to be really good for expectant mothers. For some reason, I always get really tired and sleepy after I take them. I started taking them every day at the beginning and I would just get so tired, I couldn't do anything else but sleep. However, every time I would forget to pop one in my mouth, I wouldn't be tired that day. Then, I started to just switch off every other d... Continue reading ...

I'm on my third trimester and I still crave the bad things like a Big Mac Combo Meal and an orange soda but I also crave the healthy stuff here and there as well. While my husband and I went to the grocery store, I really wanted some grapes and got myself a block of cheese as well. When I got home, I started putting some grapes and a piece of cheese on my small plate and thought a piece of sesame toast and a spoonful of peanut butter would go well with my snack. It was about 8pm when I was pu... Continue reading ...

I've never had skin tags before I was pregnant so when I started noticing these things on my neck, I was petrified. I also noticed a mole that I've always had on my butt grew significantly larger. All of these skin changes were really making me worried so I started digging around the internet and they said that some women have these growths during pregnancy. Sometimes they go away after birth and sometimes they don't.
I'm planning on going to see a dermatologist after I give birth to get my m... Continue reading ...

The day before New Year's Eve, I was so bummed out when I found out that one of my friends was throwing a party and that I couldn't celebrate with them because I lived so far away. It made me really home sick. They are thousands of miles away.
But then when New Year's Eve came, I was already tired by 8pm. How could I possibly stay up and party anyway if I were still in San Diego? I would not have had much fun and would not be of good company to any of my friends since they are not pregnant an... Continue reading ...

I am 33 weeks and 6 days pregnant and am getting closer to hitting full term. For the last couple of months, I've been going to my ob/gyn office every 2 weeks (which is normal at this stage) and pretty soon, I'll have to bump it up to once a week.
My husband has been very supportive and always wants to go to my doctor visits with me. It's reassuring to him as well, to see the ultrasounds, hear the heart beats and making sure I'm healthy and nothing is wrong, directly from the doctors themselv... Continue reading ...

I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant and I currently go to the office 4-5 days a week to work. I recently became a real estate agent because marketing positions are slim here in my town. I started going to real estate school when I was about 3 months pregnant and after I received my real estate license, I started working for a real estate office when I was 5 months pregnant.
However, before that, I was trying to find a job and started doing some part time work when I was 3 months pregnant (around the... Continue reading ...

I rarely crave meat while I'm pregnant but today I was really craving a big mac with fries from McDonald's. I am a very loyal McDonald's eater. I don't like Burger King, Wendy's or even In N Out (a California burger chain). There's a big nostalgic value with McDonald's with me even though I know their quality is crap. It brings back to my happy and excited times when we would pull in the drive-thru and get a meal from my favorite fast food chain as a kid.

Ever since the baby started moving inside of my stomach around 4 months, I started thinking that maybe there isn't enough room for him in there.
Now that I am at 5.5 months, I can feel the baby moving constantly. And recently when I was in one of my post-licensing class for real estate, I would see a ripple across my belly as I was sitting in class. It was a bit freaky but I guess the baby was bored. Sitting down in class for 8 hours isn't that fun and I'm usually moving about when I am at ho... Continue reading ...
