Extremely annoyed by my dog now that I have a newborn

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Tuesday, April 1, 2014,
I feel guilty for feeling this way but it's the truth. I am extremely annoyed by my dog now. It started when I was pregnant. I would get really mad when he jumps on my belly because I was afraid he'll knock me over or hit too hard on the fetus. Even when I tell him no, he would do it so it got to the point where I had to become unfriendly to him so he doesn't try to do that to me when when I get home. That means I don't pet him anymore or play with him. Well, it worked while I was pregnant an...

Weak in the knees when there is a contraction (39 weeks)

Posted by SailorGirlfriend.com on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, In : pregnancy
This morning I claimed to have suffered from Braxton Hicks for the first time in my blog this morning and now it's 3:57pm and it has come back. I wonder if this is all real labor and that I'm just at the very beginning stages? I am already 39 weeks today so it is possible right?

As I was walking around the house, I did feel like my right leg would get weak all of a sudden like a sudden shot through my leg went up my spine and I had to stop for a second a few times. Is this caused by my contrac...

37 weeks and 4 days pregnant and my nose is growing bigger

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Sunday, January 26, 2014, In : pregnancy
My husband and I decided to not take professional maternity photos for my pregnancy. It was due to a combination of forgetting, delaying and not wanting to spend money for pictures of my unattractive big belly. I figured I'd just wait for my child to be born to take family photos.

Anyway, since I am growing very massive today at 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant and there is a chance that the baby might arrive earlier than expected, I decided to take some selfies. People say that your nose grows w...

Pregnant and Sleeping on NYE at 9pm

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, In : pregnancy
The day before New Year's Eve, I was so bummed out when I found out that one of my friends was throwing a party and that I couldn't celebrate with them because I lived so far away. It made me really home sick. They are thousands of miles away.

But then when New Year's Eve came, I was already tired by 8pm. How could I possibly stay up and party anyway if I were still in San Diego? I would not have had much fun and would not be of good company to any of my friends since they are not pregnant an...

Did you work when you were pregnant?

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Monday, December 23, 2013,
I'm almost 33 weeks pregnant and I currently go to the office 4-5 days a week to work. I recently became a real estate agent because marketing positions are slim here in my town. I started going to real estate school when I was about 3 months pregnant and after I received my real estate license, I started working for a real estate office when I was 5 months pregnant.

However, before that, I was trying to find a job and started doing some part time work when I was 3 months pregnant (around the...

Eating McDonald's once in a while, while you're pregnant

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Thursday, November 21, 2013, In : pregnancy
I rarely crave meat while I'm pregnant but today I was really craving a big mac with fries from McDonald's. I am a very loyal McDonald's eater. I don't like Burger King, Wendy's or even In N Out (a California burger chain). There's a big nostalgic value with McDonald's with me even though I know their quality is crap. It brings back to my happy and excited times when we would pull in the drive-thru and get a meal from my favorite fast food chain as a kid.

Anyway, today I had it. I ordered a #...

People love pregnant women

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, In : Motherhood
I realized quickly that when someone finds out that I am pregnant, they all of a sudden become very interested in me. Something about carrying a child makes you seem more approachable to a lot of people. When people know you are going to become a mother, maybe that nurturing side comes out.

What I miss most, now that I am pregnant

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, In : Motherhood
When I found out I was pregnant, I cut out alcohol, caffeine and tried to stay far away from people who smoke cigarettes as much as possible.

I must admit, I did have decaffeinated coffee once on a plane and had a few sips from my husband's coke. But that was all. I don't miss drinking alcohol at all but I do miss drinking my caramel frappucino from Starbucks. I've been drinking those since I was in college, or was it late high school? Anyway, I miss my coffee.

Instead of coffee, I would drink...

I don't like it when other men touch my pregnant belly, even if it's my dad!

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, In : Motherhood

Now that I am 4 months pregnant, I realized I need to be prepared for people trying to touch my pregnant belly as my stomach gets more noticeably bigger. I traveled to California for a wedding last week and my father used his two fingers to poke at my belly. I hope that it's not weird that I found it disgusting that he did that to me. I'm not a touchy feely type of a person and never had an affectionate relationship with my father so I was really surprised that he even thought of doing that. ...

Not telling my parents I'm pregnant until 3 months

Posted by Sailorgirlfriend.com on Monday, June 24, 2013, In : Motherhood
Ever since we found out I was pregnant, my husband and I decided to not tell our parents until the first trimester is over. I've heard of so many stories where people had miscarriages and the biggest risk is during the first trimester. Since I've never been pregnant before, I don't know what to expect from my body and to save everyone future heartaches and ourselves some possible public pain, we decided to wait. I know my husband's mother have had 2 miscarriages but I'm not sure about my mom....
