I bought this nursing pillow from nursingpillow.com a long time ago as a back up to the one I already have. This one is much softer but it is a bit smaller. I think it's good for petite women. Also I think it's only good for newborns. I used it on my 5.5 month old baby and it was too small for his to lay comfortably on the pillow. A regular pillow would work better if your baby is past the newborn stage. See my review below. Use promo code 4132E9 in the check out cart to get this for Free. Yo... Continue reading ...

I was tired of using a blanket or towel to cover my baby and me when we had to stop somewhere to nurse the baby at a gas station so I needed something light and breathe-able without worrying about someone see me nurse. Initially I thought I could make it myself but who was I kidding? I had the promo code for a free nursing cover with having to pay a 11.95 fee for shipping and handling. I'm bringing it with me on the plane for my baby's first plane ride. See my review below. You can use PROMO ... Continue reading ...

I have a wonderful boss. She is like another mother who I wish was my own. She took me under her right wing and treats me like family. She gave me my own office and made sure I was set up to succeed.
Well, this week, 2 of her siblings died unexpectedly. As she was flying to another state to attend her sister's funeral, her brother passed away. I couldn't even imagine it. I feel sick to my stomach thinking about it. I've already sent my condolences earlier this week when her sister passed away... Continue reading ...

It seems like nowadays, breastfeeding and pumping are consuming most of my time. Ever since I had mastitis (see older blog post), I have been religiously pumping every 3-5 hours (depending on how much my son fed from my breasts) so that I don't get too engorged and feel pain again. Between diaper changes, feeding, comforting the baby when it's fussy time, bath time and comforting him to sleep, pumping is my #1 priority for any free time I have. Here are the things I miss since giving birth to... Continue reading ...

I am currently nursing my 22 day old newborn and own 2 different types of breast pumps. To ensure that I get a continuous supply of breast milk for my baby, I try to pump every 3 hours for 15 minutes.
At first I started out with the Medela Advanced Pump In Style. It's quiet, has a lot of accessories available at many stores and many moms like it. Then, I started using the Ameda brand with their Purely Yours double pump a few days later because it was free with my husband's insurance after giv... Continue reading ...

When I first started pumping my breast milk, my first 15 min session produced under 1 oz and that's including both breasts! On the 3rd day after I gave birth was when I started pumping to get more milk coming. Now, 15 days later, I am finally producing over 5 oz. What a difference and relief! I'm finally making a surplus for my baby.

This morning I claimed to have suffered from Braxton Hicks for the first time in my blog this morning and now it's 3:57pm and it has come back. I wonder if this is all real labor and that I'm just at the very beginning stages? I am already 39 weeks today so it is possible right?
As I was walking around the house, I did feel like my right leg would get weak all of a sudden like a sudden shot through my leg went up my spine and I had to stop for a second a few times. Is this caused by my contrac... Continue reading ...

I'm 30 years old and I hate my mom. Trust me, she gave me very many valid reasons to feel this way. Although I would never tell her in front of her face, the truth is, I don't really like being around her.
My mom is a bully. She bullies everyone I know and it's always the "my way or the highway" mentality for her. She was also never supportive of my education and dreams. She always wants me to quit everything that I'm doing because she thinks it's never good enough. When I was working on my B... Continue reading ...

I am so bored at the moment. I think ever since I became a housewife 8 months ago, I've only been bored for a handful of times. Today is one of those days.
The dishes are cleaned, my trip for this weekend has been planned and all I need to do is pack but I have three days to do that.
I remember when I used to work for an office job, I would get really bored sometimes and actually google for ideas on what to do when I'm bored at the office. I would clean my desk, clean out my computer files an...

A couple of years ago, my coworker asked me if I had something done to my eyes to get double eyelids. I was so shocked that she asked me that?!!! No one has ever asked me such a weird question about my looks before so I was caught by surprise, especially in a work setting. I was like "No, do people do that?"
She said "yea, a lot of Asians do it". I thought maybe she was being racist but the other times, she's really nice to me so I try to brush it off and can't blame her for being ignorant if ... Continue reading ...

We went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for the first time in May 2013 and we were very happy with our adventure. The rollercoasters were scary, there was a lot to see with themed European countries and animals and the weather was perfect. See the pictures I took from that pretty day at the park below.
We bought a fun pass that's good for the whole summer because it was the same price as a one day pass for $70. However, if I were to do it all over again, I would go on the AAA website to get dis... Continue reading ...

My parents want to visit my husband and me next month and stay for a week but I really don't want them to. We recently moved to the East Coast from California after we got married so we've lived in our new home for 2 months now. We got married four months ago so we're newlyweds.
I hinted to my mom that she should just stay for 5 days because it'll get boring but she insists that they stay for a week. Seriously, when I was living in California, I only see her for half a day once a week because ... Continue reading ...

There is so much about the South that fascinates me. So far, for the 3 weeks I've lived in the South, these are things I noticed that the South has a lot that West Coasters don't typically see: Everyone calls me "ma'am"

At the beginning of our wedding planning stages, after we've secured a deposit for the venue, I originally wanted a head table because I thought it would be nice to not be just us getting the attention. I'm not very good at that.
Then I thought about it some more and a lot of people in our bridal party have significant others and I don't want to separate them from their dates so now we've decided to have a sweetheart table.

I'm so happy. When I got home, I can't wait to see what the invitations looks like inside the boxes! We ordered and customized them from the internet so to hold them in our hands is so neat! I think David's Bridal nicely packaged them! They were inside 5 different sized boxes for each of the items. See photos below. Continue reading ...
