We wanted to find a Vietnamese restaurant that was closest to the hotel that we were staying at in downtown and our map linked us to Dua Vietnamese Noodle Soup (53 Broad St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303). It had good reviews and it was only within walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta. When we got there around 7pm, we've discovered that it had already closed. I guess a lot of the businesses on that street closes at 6pm or something for some reason?

We went to Lee's Bakery (4005 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30345) for the first time when we were visiting the town. It was so busy. It took us 15 minutes before we were able to put in our orders. My parents were originally from Vietnam so I grow up in America eating a lot of Vietnamese food. One of the dishes my mom would make is "muc don thit" which is stuffed squid. She usually uses ground pork as stuffing. For this dish, I used ground chicken that I found at Food Lion. I also added some smoked sausages in the dish to give it a bit of spice. The squids looked cute all stuffed. Although some may not like squid, it's very delicious once you get used to the texture. We usually use toot... Continue reading ...

Vietnamese translation of my wedding invitations in vellum on top of the original English. I ordered these invitations from David's Bridal's website because I found a promo code deal that I couldn't pass up. Look out for those when you sign up for their newsletters. The vellum translation that I added is something I did myself. It is just an idea if you have a bi-lingual guest list.
