When your new boss beats your old boss as the best boss

Posted by on Thursday, December 19, 2013
I used for work for a company where I had 4 different bosses within a span of 6 years that I was employed there. There was one particular boss there who was always rooting for me and wanting me to succeed financially and professional. He helped me believe in myself and gave me confidence that I deserve every bit of credit that I rarely received from other higher ups in the company.

He would also be proactive in making sure I get the raise I deserved and scheduled regular reviews with me to let me know what my strengths are and what I still needed to work on.

Anyway, in a span of a year of being my direct supervisor, this boss was able to grant me a 20% raise. He truly believed in me and till this day, I am so grateful.

When I moved to a new state, I started a new career in real estate. I've been at the real estate company for over 2.5 months now and I was given my own office, a plaque at our Christmas office party for my hard work and a $200 check today for helping around the company with calls and marketing for the last couple of months. I feel blessed. I think she beats my previous boss as being the best boss I've ever had. She's so supportive and understanding. I am truly lucky. I guess that's why they call her 'mom' at work.
