I like to keep boxes around the house because I always end up using them for storage or shipping something to a friend. I don't want to buy boxes when I can reuse the ones that I get from getting things shipped to me. My husband thinks that I'm weird that I hoard these boxes but they really come into great use!
I got creative one day and realized I needed an end table for our bedroom near my closet. I didn't want to go out and buy one and I recently got a sturdy cardboard boxed in the mail. I decided to cover it in sticky wrap and flip it over to make an end table. And you know what? It works. It's been sitting in my room for a few months now and it has not dented. You can't just use any cardboard box. It has to be a really sturdy one. Just don't sit on it, you know? I put my magazines, clothes, notebook and pen on it. See picture below. The sticky wrap is something I got from the dollar store. So the cost to make this end table was $1!
